_Utopia_Info
Utopia; “described as an island community with an ideal mode of government”- (Hodgkinson, 2016)
Historically, the form and appearance of utopias has been heavily influenced by ideas about the unpredictable future and cases of unknown, invisible creatures to the human eye. Likewise, the unknown spectrum of these things has also influenced many innovative designs and concept ideas. However, due to the increasing cases of wildlife smoke spreading, sea-level and temperature rising and many more natural disasters led by climate change, the utopian is still unclear and distorted to us.
_Concept
I want my specific audience to be immersive in a safe virtual space contrasted by both the metropolitan and cultural landscapes. The outcome will communicate effectively and engagingly, exploring mapped utopias with distinct surreal environment using an aesthetic rooted in reality but subverting the materiality, textures and sounds.
This project is also about exploring physical environment and locations in front of us but which are not visible.Through a process of iteration and experimentation, I will develop an identity that challenges and changes through the landscapes led by the cause of natural disasters depicting the unknown utopia within the locations.

_InspirationThese are photographs I took during my visit to Kew Gardens for research purposes. I have put together a visual mood board showcasing the things one might encounter there, including natural landscapes, flowers, and greenery.
_ProcessDuring my visit to Kew Gardens, I came across this stunning flower, which provided me with a lot of inspiration for my designs. I made several sketches and designs, which I integrated into my work using Cinema 4D. There is also a first storyboard that I created using my mood boards as inspiration. These pages reflect my design decisions and colour scheme.
